Self help Spikey Massage balls

By using the "Spikey" Ball from Body Back-Up, and following simple exercises carefully, you will be able to reduce the tension and discomfort that develops between the shoulder blades.

Such pain comes from spending large amounts of the day hunched over a desk writing or operating a Keyboard, as well as from standing at a work surface or driving.
This build up of tension can often, if left unchecked, be the root cause of many problems.

The Body Back-Up recommended "Spikey" Ball, which comes in three sizes to suit your build, is designed to produce a gentle but focused amount of pressure around the area that is being addressed. This can take between a minute and several minutes to give the muscles time to relax.
  • Helps relieve tension HEADACHES
  • Reduces STIFF NECKS
  • Helps to ease TENSE SHOULDERS that cannot RELAX
  • It improves POSTURE and reduces FATIGUE
In your 30 minute session you will be shown how to make the "Spikey" Ball work for you! Specific exercises designed with you and your lifestyle in mind, using localised pressure combined with specific movements of the body, to achieve better, and faster, results.

Orthotics from BODYBACKUP by SIDAS

People often suffer foot pain at some time in their lives, frequently along with sore legs, knees and back pain.  These are often caused by poor mechanical alignment affecting the way you run, walk and stand.

Foot orthotics allow the muscles, tendons and bones of the feet to function at their highest potential.

When appropriately prescribed, orthotics can reduce foot pain.
Orthotics are shaped with bio-mechanical features to support the natural shape of your feet, as well as increase stability and cushioning

"I have found the ‘Orthotic Shoe Insoles’ from Body Back-Up, which I have put into my work shoes, extremely beneficial.

They help my posture and every time I change my shoes I put them into the next pair. It is just like having my old shoes on again, just like carpet slippers!”

Testimonial – Orthotic Insoles

  • I visited your clinic in 2001 and had some very successful treatment on a back problem caused mostly by fallen arches.  You sold me some insoles (skiing) for £30 ish which I thought were expensive at the time but you said they would outlast my shoes.  Yeah, right I thought.

  • 11 years later they have just about worn through!  That’s with daily use!  Outlasting several pairs of shoes and trainers.

  • So, I am back for more!  Just about to buy a pair for myself and for my 11 year old son (who wasn't even born when I bought my first insoles!)

  • Hows that?

  • Seriously - many thanks for what you did at the time.  I have not had many re-occurrences of the problem since and those that I do have are caused by me not following your stretching exercises properly.

My very best regards

Testimonial – Orthotic Insoles

  • I have been coming to see Robin for a year now, having been in absolute agony, and not being able to run for about 3 months.
  • Within 3 months I was running again and he recommended some insoles to put in my trainers and I have always got through a pair of trainers every 6 months at £120 for a pair of trainers is rather expensive and since I have had these insoles – which I put them in January in a new pair      of trainers and I haven’t had to replace them thus far and I don’t think I will be for at least a few months.
  • The insoles have been absolutely amazing – I have gone 9 months without any back pain whatsoever, so I would recommend them highly.

Memory Foam Mattress Toppers - Special Order

“Memory Foam” moulds to the exact contours of your body providing a soft support cocoon for a perfect nights sleep.”
·         Originally developed for the NASA space programme, memory foam, works in a different way to standard polyurethane foam.
·         Memory Foam moulds exactly to the body’s shape and create a softer, more luxurious feel than standard foam.
·         As well as providing excellent pressure relief, memory foam overlays allow the body to be fully supported, align naturally and consequently relax.
·         As it is temperature sensitive (it gets softer the warmer it becomes) the areas of foam in contact with the body soften, moulding to the body’s shape, whilst the surrounding foam remains firmer, forming a supportive cocoon.
·         This enables the mattress to relieve pressure points and provide evenly balanced support, reducing body movements and restlessness during the night, ensuring a refreshing nights sleep.

Benefits of Microwave Heat packs for Muscular stiffness

Testimonial for Heat Packs

“Having just come to the Osteopath for the first time and had some treatment, which in itself has been fantastic, I was recommended to the heat-pack which I then took home with me and have used consistently for the last two days and have found it amazingly good.

It is very easy to use, very comfortable.  Once you have put it on you can move around with it on and the results are marvelous.

It just helps the process through and I would recommend it to everybody as it is an easy, simple solution when you are at home, working, anywhere.  It is unobtrusive and well worth having.”

Hilary O’rourke (59)
